I started MMA in 2003, training under Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann in Denmark.
I had my first MMA fight about 3 months later and following that competed in any MMA, boxing, Muay Thai and grappling event that came up, before going professional in 2007.
I received my Brazilian jiu jitsu blue belt under Joao Pedro Dos Santos in 2006 and the same year, visited Brazil where I trained under Sergio “Bolao” Souza.
In 2007, I traveled to Las Vegas and spent three months at Randy Couture’s gym, 'Xtreme Couture,' training with their professional team before returning home to Denmark again.
In 2008 I moved to New Zealand and started my own MMA gym called 'Fight Centre.'
Daniel “Hangman” Hooker was one of my first students to walk through the doors. I was fortunate to help Dan through the start of his amateur MMA career and see him turn professional, helping corner him for UFC Auckland and Japan 2014.
Between 2008 and 2010 I continued training Brazilian jiu jitsu with Pedro Pacheco Fernandes at Tukaha jiu jitsu. I received my black belt from Pedro in 2014 and still train at Tukaha to this day.
While I no longer compete, I live and breathe jiu jitsu and am always looking to learn and improve.
My teaching approach is geared towards MMA and self defence but I also like to keep it fun.
